Inaugural Class Begins May 13!

Learning the knowledge side of aviation isn’t just a box to check; it’s what transforms you from someone who can operate an airplane into someone who truly understands it.

At Gillespie Flight Center, we’ve built a Private Pilot Ground School that’s interactive, immersive, and genuinely fun. Our 9-week, in-person course takes place in our new classroom at 1715 N. Marshall Ave in El Cajon, where we go well beyond the basics. You’ll leave not only prepared for the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test, but with a deeper, more intuitive grasp of how aviation actually works.

In-person classes are offered weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Our planes are parked right outside the school, so we can easily step out and walk through aircraft structure and instruments in real time, bringing what you’re learning off the page and into the real world.

For just $600, the course delivers 16 comprehensive lectures—roughly $18 per hour, an unbeatable value compared to independent instruction in San Diego.
