How Long Does It Take?

Student pilots generally complete their training in 6-8 months, depending on:

  • How often you fly

  • Dedicating enough time for studying and ground school

  • Weather and scheduling

Flying at least 2–3 times per week is the fastest, most cost-efficient path.

Most aviation training is 30% flying and 70% studying, which is why our structured ground school dramatically accelerates your progress and lowers your cost.

How Much Does It Cost?

Most students training in SoCal complete Private training for approximately:

$15,000 – $20,000

This varies based on aircraft choice, flying frequency, and total hours needed. Each person’s training is unique to their specific circumstances.

The Path to Your Private Pilot Certificate:

1. Enroll in our Ground School

This prepares you for the FAA knowledge and practical exams and reduces overall training costs.

2. Complete all Training Requirements

Flights are based on the current FAA requirements and standards.

3. Pass the Knowledge and Practical Exams

Pass your required FAA exams and take home your Private Pilot Certificate.
